I didn't originally apply to Tainan Enterprise for a denim development role seven years ago. But during the interview, my manager noticed my background with denim brands and asked, “Would you be interested in focusing solely on denim development?”

To my surprise, the company created a brand-new position just for me. That was the first time I truly felt that a job isn't just about choosing a company—sometimes, the company chooses you and shapes a role to match your strengths.

Since then, I've dedicated myself to full-range denim development, covering markets across Asia, Europe, and the U.S. Every new season feels like a creative puzzle—analyzing trends, defining styles, selecting fabrics, and sharing insights with clients.

While these may seem like scattered tasks, they actually demand a strong sense of logic, keen observation, rhythm, and the patience to work through trial and error.

That's why I don't see myself as a“designer”in the traditional sense — I'm more of an observer. I study market trends, consumer needs, and material potential, always searching for ways to break new ground. This kind of work requires patience, flexibility, and room to explore — and luckily, Tainan Enterprise supports exactly that.

We have a flexible work schedule that helps balance work and life, and the company provides plenty of development resources and a wide range of product categories, which keeps us constantly improving our technical skills.

Tainan also encourages industry-academic collaboration. For example, I had the chance to teach at Chang Jung Christian University as part of a corporate program — an experience that broadened my own career perspective.

After graduating from the Department of Fashion Design at Shih Chien University, I joined Tainan Enterprises in August last year. Since then, I have truly felt the warmth and support within this company. My colleagues are incredibly friendly and always willing to help, even when they’re busy. So are the supervisors, they have so much patience and guided me without blaming me even when I made mistakes—they offer encouragement and constructive feedback to help me grow.

Honestly, the practical experience I’ve gained at Tainan Enterprises far surpasses what I learned in university. I’ve had the opportunity to witness and participate in every stage of the process—from design and sampling to production and final products—giving me a comprehensive understanding of the fashion industry.

Tainan Enterprises is a company that truly values its employees. Even though I’ve only been here for less than a year, there hasn’t been a single day I didn’t enjoy coming to work. I was also honored to host of our company’s major annual event. Through this experience, I saw firsthand not only the dedication of my colleagues at work, but also their energy and enthusiasm during events.
